BREAKFAST AT THE SHARD | TING RESTAURANT REVIEW
Ting means ‘living room in Chinese’.
FOOD | Breakfast at the Shard Menu
À la Carte – Available from 6.30am – 10.30am
Breakfast Buffet – Available from 7.30am – 10.30am
Breakfast at the Shard was à la carte. We chose Berry waffles, and Avocado on toast with scrambled eggs & salmon.
I loved the buffet- it has a wide selection of salads, smoothies, fresh juices, & various desserts and savoury bites.
Maybe I am a bit fussy, but I found the waffles just a tad bit dry. The Avocado on toast was fantastic!
The waitress looked on slightly surprised & bemused, as I removed the placemats and rearranged the plates. Yes, one does what one has to get ‘that’ perfect shot. Some instagrammers stand on chairs to get overhead shots, place their perfect lattes on chairs, or even on the floor for a complimentary backdrop.
The only rule that comes with the creative crowd that is Instagram, is that there are no rules.

Felt really special sitting up in the clouds watching the world below. The view from the riverside is incredible.
We sat by the window, & saw some amazing panoramic views of London from level 35.
At 128 metres above the ground, the Ting restaurant has fantastic views of St Paul’s cathedral, The City of London,Tower bridge, The Tower of London, & Canary wharf.
The Ting restaurant & lounge area is an elegant space, with a modern classic interior and oriental influence.
It’s a great place to bring guests, they are sure to love the view from the Shard.
Service was friendly, but slowed down as more people arrived to the Ting restaurant.
A couple of requests for refills were forgotten about, & our order was muddled up. Staff apologised and offered us complimentary buffet which was fab!
So in conclusion, breakfast at the Shard and the views are really worth checking out.
