Brunch with a view at The Aqua Shard

I had been meaning to go to the Shard for some time, however never quite made it until recently. Finally! With my newly made Brunch Club team I went to check it out :))

You can make a reservation with Aqua Shard online, or on the phone. Probably best to do it over the phone, as when I tried to book online there weren’t any tables available. I called them, and booked at short notice. And you don’t have to book the tour, unless you want to see it (I’ve heard it’s quite spectacular).

On the weekend there is a fixed brunch menu, where you can either choose 2 or 3 courses with a cocktail or smoothie. During week days there is more flexibility, with the breakfast menu having more variety. I went for the Salmon Omelette, & Chocolate Tart. Instead of a cocktail, I opted for a smoothie (yum!)

What did I think of it? The food was okay, I’ve had better meals. Lovely ambience. The views: incredible. Even in the Ladies Restroom.

On the whole, I had a great time with my friends. I recommend perhaps going for the Shard tour rather than the food. But that’s just my opinion. Hope you found this review useful!

I visited the viewing platform at the Shard and it was one of the most incredible things I’ve seen! If you go, be sure to go in the evening just before sunset – you get to see London in the day, the sun setting over London and then London at night with all the lights. So amazing!
