One sleepy lazy Sunday, resisting the pull of my warm comfy bed I went for a spot of Afternoon tea with family at the Hilton in Mayfair. A stones throw away from Green Park Tube Station. We were delighted to see that the Hilton offered a Halal version of Afternoon Tea. A nice change from going for the Vegetarian option in most places! They do offer a few different versions of afternoon tea, depending on one’s preference.
We had a bit of tea tasting, 25 different flavours to sample: with names that sounded like a elaborate artful arrangement. With the promise of colour, delicate taste & fragrant aroma. I liked the sound of Jasmin Pearls (very pretty btw), Rosy Fig White Tea & Apple & Elderflower, but my favourite one taste-wise was Red Bush Caramel.
And then then an arrangement of sandwiches, scones, cream & jam, softly tucked on the side. The top tier parading an assortiment of colourful macaroons, french fruit tarts, jelly, home made carrot cake, and fudge brownie cake.
Delicious, not too sure about the jelly though as I didn’t try it.
Service? I couldn’t fault it. Served with a smile, and efficient.
An overall wonderful afternoon spent with the family.
I recommend. 🙂
