My friends & I ended up going to Hitchin Lavender farm, which is about 1 hour away from London, via King’s Cross St. Pancras. A short bus or taxi ride after. Easy enough to get to.
And a beautiful sight to behold. So many different types of lavender, & lot’s of happy bees. If you go in time, you will find a lovely field of sunflowers too.
Photographer’s heaven, & bollywood delight.
There was lot’s of fingers running through rows of lavender, melodramatic scarves blowing in the wind, & ladies dressed in white. And there was even a wedding taking place..
Sahar did a great job gathering lavender- it looks so pretty with the yellow flowers!!
Can you spot Wally, I mean Sahar haha 😛
We were given scissors & paper bags to collect fresh lavender- it smelled amazing!!
We had a scrumptious picnic, & there is a cafe there too. You can try some lavender flavoured tea or cupcakes if you fancy..
I kept looking for the sunflowers, which I saw on the website..sadly we missed them. The girls did find a field full of golden wheat, which served as a photo op. Ah bloggers bloggers(wink).
Anyway, ’tis totally worth checking out…for the memories. And it is still open till the 4th of September..hurry! You will love it!
Let me know of any cool places you have discovered in the comments below 😉
Ps. pics of me by the talented Sahar Arrayeh (check out her blog :P) x
