You are cordially invited. On Saturday August 19th Seven Dials in Central London is having a massive street party, and everyone is welcome!

Spotlight 2017 is a free one-day music and performance festival, that will transform Seven Dials into a traffic-free entertainment hotspot.

From 12-6pm you will see an impressive line-up of open-air stage Disney smash hit West End musicals such as The Lion King, Aladdin, & Five Guys Named Moe, 50 piece india choir, Some Voices, plus The House & Garage Orchestra. Hosted by TV & radio presenter Laura Jackson.

In true festival spirit, have some sparkly fun with the free glitter stations to decorate your face and hair. There’ll be a GIF photo booth to capture the moment, or maybe try modelling for the free fashion illustrations.

Or simply chill out on the pop-up summer lawn around the dial complete with deck chairs and beanbags. Sit back and enjoy the live music on stages throughout the area.

Earlham street will host a pop-up bar where Monmouth Kitchen will give away free cocktails. I tried some of Monmouth’s non-alcoholic cocktails the other day, and loved them. They are fresh, & fragrant (see below). And the food is also so good! Try the slow roasted Padrón peppers with Maldon sea salt.

Monmouth Kitchen non-alcoholic cocktails: 1. Mercer Street Cooler Pineapple, lemon and grapefruit sherbet, mint and ginger ale. 2. Lemon Verbena and Grape Breeze Red grapes, lemon verbena syrup, apple, lemon and soda.

If you are a sweet tooth, try out the free mini cinnamon buns from Nordic Bakery. Yum!

In between performances, you can shop independent boutiques and flagship stores offering exclusive in-store discounts and promotions, such as 20% off jewellery experts Laura Lee, watch brand Larsson & Jennings, Neal’s Yard Remedies, brand new cafe concept Boki and glasses specialist Ollie Quinn who will also be doing free flower crown workshops, plus free mini cinnamon buns at Nordic Bakery plus much more. Malin & Goetz will be offering free dog grooming services outside their store in collaboration with Battersea dogs and cats home.

I love these Sunglasses by Ollie Quinn. Heart eyes!

About Seven Dials

Seven Dials is a unique shopping and lifestyle destination in London’s West End nestled between Covent Garden and Soho. Seven atmospheric streets are lined with independent boutiques, international fashion labels, heritage brands, beauty salons, men’s grooming specialists, traditional pubs, cool cocktail bars, cafes, restaurants, theatres and smart hotels.

Originally laid out in the 1690’s by Thomas Neale MP, Seven Dials is a gem in London that has so much charm and history. I recently went & experienced the area with Sister. There is a community feel here, which adds to it’s charm. A stark & welcome difference from some shopping hotspots.

Refuel at one of the top restaurants offering cuisines from around the world, all hosting al-fresco dining. From Portuguese specialists Canela, pizza and cocktail enthusiasts Escapologist, award winning macarons at Pierre Herme’s indulgent garden, all day dining menu at Balans Soho Society, BBQ with cured meat specialists Cure & Cut and sourdough pizza from Rossopomodoro.

Pierre Herme’s Signature 7 macarons

Infiniment Rose: Rose & Rose Petal // Mogador: Milk Chocolate & Passion Fruit //Arabesque: Apricot & Crunchy Pistachio // Infiniment Chocolat Paineiras: Pure Origin Brazilian Dark Chocolate, Paineiras Plantation // Infiniment Cafe Iapar Rouge Du Bresil: Iapar Rouge du Brésil Coffee

‘Mogador’ is one of Pierre Herme’s signature flavours~ made with milk Chocolate & Passion Fruit. See more of the award winning macaron’s below. The sorbet is made in Paris.

Hot tip: The Pierre Herme Infiniment Praline Noisette is an indulgent chocolate spread, it took 5 years to perfect the recipe. You chocolate lovers should check this out, as well as the grapefruit flavoured chocolate below. It’s heaven! 🙂

Boki is an exciting new cafe concept with a mouth watering menu full of yummy goodness. And Instagram heaven of course!

Try out the Hulk smoothie (below) at Boki, it’s incredible. Just like the rest of the menu.

Monmouth Kitchen is another delightful place to check out. Sleek sophisticated interiors, and delicious food.

Or pop into the exquisite luxury chocolatier Rococo for a masterclass and taste of chocolate heaven. They have some incredibly wonderful combinations using locally sourced high quality products. We tried a variety of these, such as persian basil and lime, & then chocolate with cheese. It was unexpectedly delicious. I recommend trying out Roald Dahl’s white chocolate peachy delight, it’s so good! They make amazing presents too! They also have chocolate named after the BFG, Matilda, & The Witches. 🙂

For a bit of pampering pop into Caudalie, they have grown a strong following for their indulgent skincare range (above example) that uses antioxidants from grape seeds. One of their popular products Vinoperfect Radiance serum is said to help with dark spots and evens the skin tone. They have recently launched some lip stains too!

Get Happy Socks or happy socked, why not?! This Swedish company has cute novelty sock designs that would make a great gift. Guaranteed to make you stand out!

And don’t forget to wander down this charming colourful corner in Seven Dials. It’s hiding some yummy cafes.

Do yourself a favour, & check out this super fun free festival in a charming part of London. Spotlight 17 is the perfect summer day out in London with friends and family. There is something for everyone. Enjoy! 🙂
