If there’s cake, I’ll be there. Well most of the time anyway. That’s how I got lured to the Conrad, in hope of some cake. Me and my sweet tooth ha! Not to mention some lovely company in a relaxing setting!
The theme was a winterly ‘Snow Queen’ tea, described as:
The delicate winter frost sets in with blackcurrant and cardamom snowflakes and sumptuous fruit and berries. Indulge in a mint macaroon snowstorm, along with the Snow Queen’s magic mirror, broken into icy blue sugar shards.
The savoury part was nice, no halal option so we went veggie. Staff were friendly & did do their best to accommodate us.
The scones were okay. Now, the desserts weren’t too impressive (for me). The shortbread pastry with berries was okay. However, I felt the other desserts were more suited to a child’s tea party. The blue colouring & white candy floss meant I steered clear. But hey, we all like different things right?! I had a fab time nonetheless, after all it’s the company that counts.
Maybe you fancy playing Snow Queen (or King) for the afternoon..why not?! -> More details here if so (let me know what you think).
